In the Caatinga, more than 90% would not have any protection. In the Pantanal and Cerrado, about 70% of their areas do not fit this definition.<\/p>\n<p>For FAO, forest is a type of land whose tree cover density index is greater than 10%, with a surface greater than 0.5 hectare and trees with a minimum height of 5 meters when mature.
