The new bioeconomy in the Amazon: Opportunities and challenges for a healthy standing forest and flowing rivers


In the last 20 years, the concept of bioeconomy has taken shape as one of the alternatives for sustainable production. This study intends to present a new vision for the preservation of rivers and forests, mapping research on the bioeconomy, presenting more efficient forms of production and, finally, presenting viable products that can lead the sustainable transition of the world production matrix.
