Argentina transfers this Thursday (July 8th) the six-month Presidency of Mercosur to Brazil, that promises to move from a more protectionist agenda to a greater trade liberalization.

Uruguay says it will negotiate trade agreements outside Mercosur. In line with Uruguay, Brazil promises concrete results of integration with the world. Argentina prepares to exercise its veto power to resist the clash, and Paraguay tries to balance between free trade and protectionism.
