As a way to take distance from the role of villain in the environmental area, agribusiness entrepreneurs in Brazil assured the WTO (World Trade Organization) that they intend to lead in sustainable agricultural production.

From January to August 2021, Brazilian agribusiness exports generated US$ 84 billion, according to the National Agriculture Confederation, and estimates show it could reach up to US$ 120 billion this year. However, the sector has been affected by boycott threats from countries concerned about the deforestation linked to the expansion of Brazilian agricultural areas.
