How meat became a ‘villain’ in climate change and target at the COP26

Beef has been considered one of the villains in the global climate debate and is identified as the food that contributes the most to greenhouse gas emissions and deforestation.

During the COP26, dozens of countries, including Brazil, signed an agreement to reduce 30% of methane emissions by 2030. Currently, methane gas emissions in the Brazilian cattle herd represent 17% of all greenhouse gases in Brazil.
