National “What matters to us is not who the minister is, but the results of his work in terms of environmental protection,” said Anna Cavazzini, a German MEP on Thursday (24), commenting on the resignation of Ricardo Salles and his replacement by Joaquim Pereira Leite.
Cavazzini, who is a member of the European Parliament’s delegation for relations with Brazil and is a member of the Foreign Trade Commission and the Responsible Business Conduct Working Group, has been one of the most critical European policies on deforestation in the Amazon.
