A group of businessmen and representatives from the construction, agricultural and financial sectors in Brazil published a letter in which they took a stand in favor of a leading role for the country in the international environmental agenda.
The document calls for measures to reduce and offset greenhouse gas emissions, internal carbon pricing and investments in green technologies as more ambitious goals for 2050. They also demand that the Brazilian government develops their own initiatives and projects that do not depend on international resources.
