Global companies’ leaders want the elimination of harmful subsidies to nature by at least US$ 500 billion a year from 2030 and the mandatory control of the environmental impact of their production chains.

A 2020 World Economic Forum study indicated that humanity has already caused the loss of 83% of wild mammals and half of plants. The report points out that more than half of the world’s GDP was moderately or highly dependent on nature and its services. At the time, the estimated value was US$ 44 trillion.

The idea is to take concrete steps to stop and reverse the biodiversity crisis, as was done with climate protection. The effort of business leaders is to stop the loss of biodiversity and reverse the process of biodiversity degradation.
