Abiquim (Brazilian Association of Chemical Industry), and the entities that represent the sector in Argentina and Uruguay, signed a manifesto against the proposal to reduce the TEC (Common External Tariff) of Mercosur, defended by the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes .

Ciro Marino, president of Abiquim, argues that the time is not suitable for discussion because it could put the chemical industry at risk in the pandemic, in addition to arguments such as the difficulty of competitiveness in relation to countries like the United States, China and India.
