National Minister of Agriculture in Brazil, Tereza Cristina criticized the protectionism and imposition of barriers on international agribusiness trade. In addition, she highlighted environmental issues as one of the main challenges for the commercial expansion of the sector.
The minister argues that Brazil’s image abroad does not reflect the level of sustainability of Brazilian agriculture and cattle raising and asked her attachés to highlight the country’s efforts for sustainability in meetings with foreign bodies.
