French Agriculture Minister, Julien Denormandie, said he would implement a regulation on the origin of meat. The new rule requires canteens to indicate the origin of the meat sold in the establishment.
The minister also criticized the quality of meat produced in Brazil, claiming that Brazilian chicken “does not have the same impact on children’s health” as meat produced in the European country, and that “when a parent sees that the meat comes from Brazil or from Ukraine, perhaps it will awaken their conscience.”
