International Tobias Adrian cited how the economies of the Bahamas, the Philippines, and other nations have been devastated by hurricanes and typhoons in recent years. Also, the comments echo a warning released last September in a US government report that acknowledged that “climate change poses a major risk to the stability of the US financial system and its ability to sustain the US economy.”
