A report published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warns that the global temperature could rise by 1,5 °C in the next decade. These climate changes would mean that the Brazilian farming industry would no longer be able to operate competitively.

The document shows that the average temperature in Brazil’s central region could rise 5,5°C and rainfall could be reduced by 30%. Greenhouse gases and fossil fuels are the main causes.
