Almost 10% of the cattle traded in Pará came from farms linked to illegal deforestation, without environmental permissions, with labour analogous to slavery or using land belonging to an indigenous reserve. In the case of the company JBS, around 32% of the animals purchased came from farms with some type of irregularity.

The mapping used data from audits of cattle trade carried out between January 2018 and June 2019 by companies that signed the Conduct Adjustment Agreement for Beef and was presented by the Federal Public Ministry of Pará.
