With the theme, “Amazonian forest products export potential”, the Amazon Observatory on Trade and Environment (OCAA) broadcasts the fourth episode of the OCAA Webinar series next Thursday, June 10, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm (Central European Time), the fourth episode of the OCAA Webinários series.

The new chapter will debate the study “Opportunities for Exporting Forest-Compatible Products in the Brazilian Amazon”, by the associate professor at New York University Salo Coslovsky. The article points out discoveries that can help Amazon expand its forest economy by improving and disseminating existing capacities. They are local companies and communities that know how to supply forest-compatible products competitively and efficiently.

Alongside Coslovsky, the sourcing director and member of the Board of Directors of Frooty Açaí, Carlos Brito; the researcher in Natural Resources Management, the focal point in Cooperation and International Relations of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), Ana Euler; and the technical advisor for the planning and management of the Sustainability and Value Creation in Agricultural Chains Project of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), André Machado.

The debate will be broadcast live, in Portuguese, and mediated by the director of the Center for Integration and Development Studies (Cindes) and member of the OCAA, Sandra Rios. Watch by clicking here.
