For the OCAA member and the executive director of Instituto Clima e Sociedade, the risk is now of a boycott of national products by foreign consumers.

Still, Toni reinforces that there is a window of opportunity for the country to position itself as one of the leaders of a green economy if the right efforts are taken. “With the pandemic, the climate issue became the pillar of economic recovery in the US and Europe, and this shows where the winds are going. Brazil, with so many natural resources, could transform this comparative advantage into a competitive advantage, but we are doing the opposite of that”, she said.
