International The European Commission announced a green transition to reduce emissions by 55% by the year 2030. Among the measures are domestic and international decisions, such as a tax on imported products.
The implementation will depend on a wide debate among the member countries of the bloc. According to Natalie Unterstel, specialist in climate change policy and Director of the Talanoa Institute, “it may take two years to get all the details right, it won’t be overnight”.
