Geography of Asymmetry:the vicious cycle of pesticides and colonialism in the commercial relationship between Mercosur and the European Union


The study exposes data related to the consumption of pesticides by the Mercosur countries and indicates a possible intensification resulting from the EU-Mercosur Trade Agreement. The author suggests that the fact that the EU exports pesticides that are banned in its territory is a double standard, which intensifies the inequalities with colonial roots between the two blocs.
