Climate limit for agriculture in Brazil

A study carried out by researchers from IPAM (Amazonian Institute for Environmental Research) and the Woodwell Climate Center points out that Brazil lost 28% of its agricultural area in the transition region between the Amazon and the Cerrado due to climate change. The projection is that about 50% of this area will leave the climate zone considered ideal by 2030 and 74% in the next decade of the 60’s.
