The publication presents some reflections on the Amazonian context and the fires that occurred in 2019, as a warning for the possible consequences of the implementation of the EU-Mercosur agreement. According to the study, the agreement is a pillar of the “impunity architecture” that allows transnational corporations to devastate the Amazon and its traditional peoples and communities.
