Sociobioeconomy of Pará has the potential to generate more than R$170 billion (US$ 30 billion) in income in 2040

The study shows that the value chains of socio-biodiversity products benefit economic agents from the local to the national level and, therefore, constitute an important axis of socio-environmental and economic development for the State of Pará. These chains are a unique opportunity for a model of sustainable development for the Amazon rainforest that reconciles forest conservation and income generation for local populations.
