WWF-UK Designing Due Diligence

Study investigates the link between deforestation and commodity production, as well as enforcement policies capable of halting forest destruction. According to researchers, between 2018 and 2016, the UK needed 21.3 million hectares globally to produce seven of the main commodities consumed. As a coping technique, experts recommend the creation of policies for inspection and control of production chains, allied to the boycott of products grown in areas of deforestation.
