The European Union injected 100 billion euros in actions aimed at stimulating the decarbonization of its agriculture between 2014 and 2020, but the results are disappointing for the bloc that seeks to teach lessons to the rest of the world about sustainable production.
The European Court of Auditors’ report shows that around 25% of the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy resources were allocated to the fight against global warming in the period examined, but greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions have not decreased since 2010.
