The operation of the Federal Police (PF) that had the Minister of the Environment, Ricardo Salles, as one of the targets, this Wednesday (19/05), makes it more difficult for Brazil to sign agreements with the rest of the world, in evaluation by researcher Carlos Rittl, from the Institute for Advanced Studies in Sustainability in Potsdam, Germany.
Rittl also considers that the action against the minister may further complicate the process of Brazil’s entry into the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, considered the “club of rich countries”) and the ratification of the agreement between Mercosur and the Union European Union, announced almost two years ago and even today in “bain-marie”.
